Oven Baked DPF Cleaning vs "Pulse Cleaning"

At Cooling Systems Caribe, we believe that the only way to effectively clean a DPF is to bake them in our specially designed oven. "Pulse Cleaning" is where a DPF is cleaned with a machine that pulses air through the cells.  While this certainly removes some soot, it doesn’t remove nearly as much as the combination of pulsing and baking.  Pulsing alone leads to more frequent DPF cleaning and consequently more downtime.  Cooling Systems Caribe has chosen to not offer "Pulse Cleaning" at all as we do not believe it is an adequate cleaning method and cannot charge for a service, we do not believe in.

Automated VS Manual Pulsing

At CSC, all Diesel Particulate Filter Pulsing is done by our experienced technicians in our Puerto Rico warehouse. While automated pulsing technology is efficient from a time and labor savings perspective, we find that it often misses particularly stubborn soot deposits. Most automated systems spend an equal amount of time pulsing DPF cells that clear as on cells that are particularly clogged. This leads to an incomplete pulse. Our techs are trained to identify and focus on DPF "hotspots" where soot is particularly stubborn. This ensures a thorough cleaning and maximum service life between cleaning cycles.
 

DPF Fitting Repair

Our full-service shop also has the capability to repair or replace damaged DPF Fittings. We stock the largest inventory of hard-to-find DPF fittings in Puerto Rico, so you are not forced to purchase a new DPF or DOC because of a broken fitting or bung.
