Recently on Christmas Eve, a client called us with an Olympian Generator Radiator emergency. The failing radiator belonged to an Olympian GEP88SP1 100kw generator with Perkins 1006 TG2A engine. The emergency occurred on Thursday and they needed to have the CAT generator back up by Monday. The radiator (which is also fits an Olympian / FG Wilson models with 1006TG1/TG2 engines) was failing, but they could not shut down the generator. They needed to solve their issue ASAP and could not wait to have the unit rebuilt. After going through the details with the client, we were able to identify the radiator by OEM Olympian radiator part number 120-258. The client wanted a new radiator and quickly sent them a quote as requested.
We manufactured the radiator from our CAD drawing database, and it was produced in 1 day from the time it was ordered. The radiator was delivered and installed 1 day ahead of schedule and we had the generator quickly running again. The client was astonished with our fast lead time and response (especially on Christmas holiday weekend).
